We are constantly inspired by the powerful women that surround us — in society and in business — and they deserve more recognition. Our founder Amy Roe built BYROE on the foundation to support women at every stage. We believe in connecting with other women, in spreading a message of love and acceptance, and in empowering women through knowledge and awareness.

Our mission is to spread this message through our various partnerships and initiatives that allow us in our privileged position to give back through product and monetary donations. But, it’s more than just a donation. It is a movement to break the glass ceiling and provide other women with the ability to restore their hope, their dignity, empower their dreams, and stand by their side — no matter their income.

This mission is important now more than ever as gender inequality has not ceased and women are still marginalized in all levels of society, especially in education and career fields. Thus, BYROE sees this as an amazing opportunity to support women and give them a voice where they are otherwise silenced.

PRE-LAUNCH WITH WHEDCO
For our launch, we partnered with the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco). This community development non-profit focuses on supporting women through all sectors via affordable housing, education and youth development, and community and economic development. As a brand based out of a shared love for New York City — this partnership hit close to home. It was important as a Columbia Business School graduate for Amy to launch with an organization that gave back to the community that surrounds it. Every donation given to WHEDco goes back into creating a better life for low-income families in the New York City area.
It was an incredibly humbling experience to be able to provide women with the necessities that they don’t often have access to. No matter their situation in life, women should have access to a means of self-care because they deserve it. We are always here to support them.
FUTURE INITIATIVES
This is not about a pat on the back for all of the work we have done but a space to inspire women to lift each other up and support each other. By supporting organizations that fight for the rights of women, we are encouraging all women to embrace a female-first mentality. We will continue to embrace the future with this women-first message and continue to create positive change. We thank you for supporting us and for supporting these organizations that are so incredibly important.
